Tomintoul & Glenlivet Development Trust is a community owned regeneration charity based in the Cairngorms National Park, North East Scotland. It was established in 2012 to address economic decline in the area and has delivered a wide range of projects including a community broadband scheme, a programme of events and a £500k museum refurbishment as part of a Landscape Partnership project.
The trust acquired Tomintoul hostel and museum through an asset transfer in 2017. The Trust is currently pursuing an affordable housing development and has purchased the site of the former secondary school in Tomintoul for development. The trust has 310 members, employs a Development Manager and has a trading subsidiary managing its income generating portfolio.
The role of Glenlivet Development Officer will take responsibility for developing and delivering a range of community projects and events in the Glenlivet, Inveravon and Ballindalloch area.
The post holder will review the 2017 Dorenell Community Development Plan and TGDT Community Development Plan 2018 – 2022, and undertake a community consultation exercise to identify and prioritise actions for the Glenlivet and Inveravon community. A review of existing and potential community assets will be a key output for the post as will identifying and securing funding for projects, asset acquisition and improvements.
Subject to COVID restrictions easing the postholder will restart the successful North East Arts Touring events programme and be responsible for coordinating Tea in the Park 2021 and 2022 as well as other events that may come from the consultation exercise. The postholder will promote trust membership, volunteering and participation in events and community activity in the Glenlivet area.
You will be supported in this role by a board of volunteer directors drawn from the local community and possessing a wide range of skills and expertise. Line management will be to TGDT Development Manager

Expected hours are 25hrs per week flexible working and job share will be considered additional hours and weekend working may be required.
Salary – up to £28,180 per annum pro rata
