Members of the public in Moray are being invited to vote for their favourite project from a shortlist of schemes aimed at improving life in their community.
tsiMORAY currently have two very exciting funding programmes underway with a large and diverse range of community stakeholders involved.
Now applicants to the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund and the Community Wellbeing Participatory Grant Making Fund need you - the general public - to decide which projects to fund.
Our Just Transition PB Fund projects are focused on purchasing items such as decarbonisation technologies like solar panels and electric vehicles to help reduce the carbon footprints of their organisations.
This is an exciting fund and will help the third sector begin to transition to a carbon-neutral future as we begin to move away from reliance on fossil fuels.
The Community Wellbeing PGM is a pilot scheme we are running with the National Lottery Communities Fund – this scheme was open widely to communities, with projects focussing on improving community wellbeing. Our stakeholders helped design the fund and who is eligible – now it’s up to you to decide who will receive funding!
Voting need to know:
We are using method known as “spread voting”.
With spread voting, you must choose your 10 favourite projects for your Just Transition Fund vote to count; and you must choose 5 favourite projects for your Community Wellbeing PGM Fund vote to count.
This is to help level the playing field and prevent the projects with most members being given an unfair advantage.
You can only vote ONCE for each fund
Voting closes 5pm, Friday 16th December
