AM EMPLOYMENT LAW LTD - Employment Law Update 2020

05

09:15-11:15

Are you aware of the Employment Law updates that will impact on your organisation? In 2020 there are going to be a number of substantial changes in employment law that employers need to be aware of and prepared for. We will provide an overview of these changes and what you as an employer need to do to be ready.

These updates include the usual changes in statutory rates and figures but also the implementation of the government’s ‘Good Work Plan’. This includes changes such as the issuing of employment contracts, pay slips and working pattern requests to name a few. We will break down the changes into easily understandable parts and advise on what you need to do and when.

PAST EVENTS

Planning for our annual networking conference begins almost as soon as the previous event finishes.  Reviewing the feedback from attendees is key, as is input from the entire team.  It’s a large undertaking however the impact of this event is evident not only from the buzz on the day but from the connections made and the ongoing comments received throughout the year.

The theme last year focused on collaboration and partnership working – ‘Working Together for All of Us.’  The event offered opportunities to reflect on what makes collaborative partnerships work, the challenges and opportunities being faced, and the practical tools that enable individuals and organisations to work together for the benefit of their communities.

The event was opened by a Keynote Panel discussing what they considered to be key in enabling effective partnership working.  The Year of the Young Person was celebrated by our Keynote Speaker in the afternoon – Emmie Main from Communic18 who described the work her group has been involved in with partners and organisations to ensure young voices are heard.

With a variety of workshops and a vibrant marketplace with 25 stalls a great day was had by all.
